ExtraCarry Mag Pouch Review From The Classic Woodsman
Looking for a quick and easy way to carry a spare pistol magazine?
Well the ExtraCarry Mag Pouches are a great option for the conceal carrier.
I got a chance to test out the ExtraCarry Mag Pouches and here is how they performed.
To test out how well the ExtraCarry Mag Pouches worked I was sent out one mag holder for the bigger size, Glock 21, and also a smaller size, the Ruger LCP Pistol. This allows me to see the differences on how they both carry and perform in the field and in town.

First off I tried the Ruger LCP Mag Pouch. The Ruger LCP .380 caliber magazine fits just lightly snug in the holder for a perfect fit. Out of curiosity I tried a .22 caliber LCP magazine and that also fit. The last mag I tried was an older Keltec P3AT model that of course, fit with no issues.
Switching over to the Glock 21 Mag Pouch I found it fit well with a little looseness. At first I was curious if there would be retention problems when actually carried inside of a pocket. I found out during testing that fit is no problem when inside of a pocket and might also be a plus for that extra moment where speed might make a difference in mag delivery.
To use this mag carrier one simply rotates the metal clip, insert your loaded mag and then insert everything into your pocket. Rotate the spring clip to the normal position thereby locking it in place to your pocket. Quick and simple is the name of the game.
Testing the ExtraCarry Mag Pouches I found them to be built tough and they hide your spare mag in plain sight. Free up your belt space and avoid the shirt imprinting of your traditional on the belt spare magazine holder. They work great in regular pants pockets and also do very well in cargo pants leg pockets. In reality, anywhere you could clip a knife you can now clip a spare pistol magazine holder. Brilliant!
Note: The image came out below that looks like rust is on the screw. That is actually a photograph illusion as the screw is bright and shiny as can be witnessed in earlier images.
Check out these great made in the U.S.A. magazine holders on the ExtraCarry Mag Pouch website. They certainly are great products that will revolutionize the way you carry your spare mags and are The Classic Woodsman approved!
